EXPLORE DUBAI LIFESTYLE
Dubai is an ideal holiday destination for families, with theme parks, beaches, brunches and more to keep everyone happy. Here are eight things to keep the kids busy on school break.
BEST FOR: BEACH BABIES
Visit one of Dubai’s favourite spots for a beach day and a great view of the Burj Al Arab. Named after the numerous kite surfers that enjoy the perfect wind and waves at this destination, Kite Beach is also perfect for a family beach day. You can indulge in a quick bite or beverage at the many outlets – grab a slider and a lotus milkshake at the the famous food truck, Salt. Or, simply sit back and enjoy the kite surf show while your children enjoy the many play areas like the adventure course at Wire World.
Since launching in 2017, this interactive children’s museum has redefined the playtime rulebook. Deriving its name from the Hawaiian for “joy”, OliOli comprises eight interactive galleries for youngsters aged two to 11. There are dozens of activities for kids to engage in and learn from – from launching rockets to creating 3D artwork models and building forts. There’s also a gallery dedicated to toddlers, designed to stimulate their curiosity and sense of wonder.

BEST FOR: DELIGHTING YOUNGSTERS
BEST FOR: TINY FOOD CRITICS
Serving a stunning menu of Pan-Asian seafood, it would be quite understandable if the restaurant was reserved only for the city’s serious foodie elite, but the best thing about this place is that children are very much welcome. Friday and Saturday brunches are perfect for the whole family, with a children’s buffet, play areas and dedicated entertainers to keep the little ones amused.
